SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Marvin Williams will miss his third straight game for the Utah Jazz because of concussion-like symptoms and Derrick Favors is out again Monday night against the Los Angeles Clippers because of plantar fasciitis in his right foot.

DeMarre Carroll will start at small forward in place of Williams.

Jazz coach Tyrone Corbin said the injuries are more of a defensive hit, especially with the Clippers in town.

Williams was averaging 10.4 points and 3.8 rebounds. Favors, a power forward, leads the team with 32 blocked shots and is third in rebounding with 7.5 a game.

Favors sat out Saturday’s loss to Houston and an ultrasound Monday confirmed his injury. Favors and Williams remain day-to-day.
