SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) — Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly says the top-ranked Fighting Irish are focusing on themselves, not their opponent in the BCS championship game Jan. 7.

Kelly says the Irish (12-0) have been doing conditioning work, weightlifting and school work. Practices begin again on Friday and Saturday. Kelly says the early practices will focus on younger players and fundamentals and will focus more on Alabama (12-1) as the game draws closer.

He also says he expects everyone to be ready for the game, even receiver DaVaris Daniels, who sustained a broken left clavicle against Boston College. Safety Zeke Motta says the Irish are letting their bodies heal, working to get stronger and to make sure they are ready to go at kickoff.
