Central Park — Dick Malin, who has led the Central Park Neighborhood Association in nearly every respect for two decades now, has decided to call it a day. Malin “recently announced to the CPNA Board that he will not accept a nomination for president in January’s election,” says the latest Central Park newsletter. “His service to this community through this organization during the past two decades has resulted in many physical improvements to our infrastructure as well as improvements in the quality of life for all residents. He’s spent many, many hours attending meetings with transportation and community development officials on our behalf working to encourage positive changes and heading off developments that might do harm. His leadership will be missed.”
