Mountain View’s Carly Holboke was voted The Columbian’s high school athlete of the week for the week of Nov. 26-Dec. 1 in a vote by fans on Facebook.
Holboke collected 29 percent of the 874 votes cast to beat out Heritage gymnast Britni Atwell, who had 25 percent.
Holboke averaged 26 points a game in three games last week, and added 29 points in an exhibition game against an Mandurah of Australia.
Other nominees included Hudson’s Bay wrestler Aaron Blaine, Battle Ground bowler Wylicia Faley and Columbia River boys basketball player Isaiah Smith.
