Arkansas State beats St. Bonaventure 73-70

JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) -- Brandon Peterson and Raeford Worsham scored 18 points apiece to help Arkansas State beat St. Bonaventure 73-70 on Saturday.

Peterson was 7 of 10 from the field and posted a double-double with 11 rebounds. Worsham was 6 of 11 from the field and had a pair of steals. Rakeem Dickerson added 12 points for the Red Wolves (5-3).

Arkansas State led 42-28 at halftime. In the second half, the Bonnies erased a 17-point deficit and held a 70-68 lead with the ball. Worsham made one of his steals and tied the game at 70. On the Bonnies next possession, Chris Johnson missed a 3-pointer, but Ed Townsel hit one for Arkansas State, giving them the win.

Johnson scored a career-high 19 points for the Bonnies (5-3). Matthew Wright made 13 and Charlon Kloof 10. Demitrius Conger had 12 rebounds and eight points.
