Cal Poly defeats Menlo College 89-43

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. (AP) — Dylan Royer and Chris Eversley scored 15 points each to lead Cal Poly to an 89-43 win against Menlo College on Saturday night.

Brian Bennett added 14 points and Kyle Odister 10 for the Mustangs (3-3), who shot 57.4 percent (31 of 54) from the floor and made 10 of 17 3-point attempts.

ChaRunn Jones scored 15 points for Menlo (2-8), a NAIA school in Atherton, Calif.

Odister’s 3-pointer gave Cal Poly a 28-5 lead midway through the first half. Menlo shot 19 percent from the floor en route to trailing 42-14 at the break.

Eversley finished with eight rebounds and two steals.
