Portland-based New Seasons Market said Monday it has named Wendy Collie president and chief operating officer effective Jan. 2 as part of the organic grocery chain’s new customer service initiative. She replaces Lisa Sedlar, who resigned in November.
Collie is a Portland resident with an extensive background in retail. She most recently served as president of consumer business for Knowledge Universe, a chain of childhood education centers.
Before Knowledge Universe, Collie was employed by Starbucks for 18 years, most recently as senior vice president and general manager for its U.S. division.
New Seasons operates 12 stores in the Portland-Vancouver area, including one in Fisher’s Landing.
