Anna DeLeo’s put-back basket with two seconds left in overtime lifted the host Trappers to the win in the Class 3A Greater St. Helens League opener for both teams

Mar’Shay Moore scored nine points in overtime after her free throw at the end of the fourth quarter tied the game at 39-apiece. Moore finished with a season-high 35 points as Fort Vancouver won for the first time in seven games this season.

Hudson’s Bay led by eight points entering the fourth quarter, but Fort was able to close the gap by forcing some turnovers and getting to the free-throw line. With the Eagles leading 39-38, Moore missed the first of two foul shots at the end of the fourth quarter, then tied it with the second one.

Her four baskets and one free throw in overtime accounted for nine of the Trappers’ points. But DeLeo — on her birthday — scored the winning points after grabbing an offensive rebound.

Bailey Freeman led Hudson’s Bay with 19 points, 10 rebounds and six blocked shots. Lynnese harrell had 10 points and six rebounds, and Paris Collins had eight rebounds and six steals for the Eagles.
