PITTSBURGH (AP) — LaMarr Woodley is trading football cleats for bowling shoes.

The Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker is among the new owners involved in the PBA’s Professional Bowling League that kicks off in the Detroit suburbs next month.

Former Steelers running back Jerome Bettis, former NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens and Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul are also part of the new venture.

Woodley, who bowled as a kid while growing up in Saginaw, Mich., will be the celebrity owner of the Pittsburgh Jack Rabbits. Woodley says he was introduced to the PBA by Paul during a charity event.

The eight-team league held a draft last month and kicks off its inaugural season as part of the PBA Detroit Winter Swing from Jan. 19-27.
