NEW YORK (AP) — Tiz the Argument got up in the final strides to nip Moon Philly by a neck Wednesday in the $80,000 Jameela Stakes for fillies and mares at Aqueduct.
Junior Alvarado guided the 4-year-old trained by Rick Dutrow to her fifth win in 11 starts. The time was 1:37.86 for the a mile on the first day of racing over the winterized inner track.
Tiz the Argument paid $4.60, $2.90 and $2.30. Moon Philly returned $4.20 and $3, and Check Point paid $3.10 to show.
