Cal State Fullerton beats Idaho State 66-53

FULLERTON, Calif. (AP) — Kwame Vaughn scored 17 points, grabbed six rebounds and dished out four assists and Cal State Fullerton went on to beat Idaho State 66-53 on Thursday night.

Cal State Fullerton (4-5) led 27-20 at halftime but returned from the locker room determined, going on a 17-2 run to start the second half capped by Alex Harris’ lay-in with 13:47 to play to give the Titans a 44-22 lead.

Three other players scored in double figures for the Titans with Sammy Yeager scoring 14 points while D.J. Seeley and Alex Harris each tallied 11 points.

The Titans shot 45.1 percent from the field, making 23 of 51 shot attempts, but were a perfect 14 of 14 from the free-throw line until Chris Collins missed the team’s first from the line with 53 seconds remaining in the game.

Tomas Sanchez led Idaho State (1-7) with 17 points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals.
