MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Shawne Williams, a first-round NBA draft pick in 2006, has been arrested on drug charges after an officer patrolling a mall smelled marijuana coming from a car in the parking lot.

The officer asked Williams to get out of the Porsche on Thursday night. Police reported finding a partially smoked marijuana cigar, another blunt and a bottle of codeine cough syrup not prescribed to Williams.

The 26-year-old Williams was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of cocaine with intent to manufacture, deliver or sell. He remained in jail Friday morning with bail set at $10,000.

He was drafted by Indiana in 2006 after spending a season at Memphis. He has played 215 career games, including 25 with the Nets last season.
