NEW YORK (AP) — Royal Lahaina drew off to a six-length victory over Belle Gallantey on Friday in the $67,620 allowance feature for fillies and mares at Aqueduct.
The 4-year-old delivered one of three victories on the day for jockey Jose Ortiz and trainer Rick Dutrow. Royal Lahaina won for the third time in 17 races, running a mile and 70 yards in 1:42.99 and paying $3.70, $2.30 and $2.10. Belle Gallantey returned $4.20 and $2.60, and Assyria paid $2.20 to show.
