N.Y. firm buys equity interest in Tidewater

Vancouver-based Tidewater Holdings said Friday it has a new joint ownership with Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners, a New York-based investment firm that focuses on power, renewable energy, utilities, transportation and water.

Tidewater Holdings remains the operating partner for its two subsidiaries — Tidewater Barge Lines and Tidewater Terminal Co. — while Stonepeak replaces Portland-based Endeavour Capital as the major equity investor in Tidewater.

Transaction terms were not disclosed.
