No. 12 Kansas women beat Prairie View 72-60

LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) — Angel Goodrich scored 19 points and Tania Jackson had a double-double to lead No. 22 Kansas to a 72-60 win over Prairie View on Sunday, overcoming a 21-point performance by Latia Willams.

Jackson had 13 points and 10 rebounds. Goodrich also had eight assists. Carolyn Davis had 13 points, and Monica Engelman had 11, including her first 3-pointer of the season, for the Jayhawks (9-1).

The Jayhawks led 37-23 at halftime. The Panthers tied the game at 57 at the 5:08 mark when Williams hit a jumper, but Kansas outscored them 15-3 in the final minutes to win the game. Kansas shot 42 percent from the field for the game. Prairie View shot 43.6 percent from the field for the game.

Williams was 9 of 15 from the field and had six rebounds for Prairie View (2-5) Kiara Etienne scored 15 points and Larissa Scott led with 10 rebounds.
