INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) — Weewinnin defeated Fighting Hussar by a half-length to win the $200,000 King Glorious Stakes at 60-1 odds on closing day of the autumn meet Sunday at Betfair Hollywood Park.

Ridden by Jose Valdivia Jr., Weewinnin ran seven furlongs on the synthetic Cushion Track in 1:23.54 and paid $122, $54.20 and $20.40 in his first start in 412 months. The race was for 2-year-old California-breds.

Fighting Hussar returned $12 and $6.80, while 2-1 favorite Monument was another three-quarters of a length back in third and paid $3.40 to show.

The victory, worth $110,000, increased Weewinnin’s career earnings to $125,900, with two wins in three starts.

Bob Baffert won his first training title at the autumn meet since 2001, saddling 17 winners, three more than second-place John Sadler.

Edwin Maldonado edged Rafael Bejarano to win the riding title by a 25-24 margin, his first at a major Southern California track.
