Sidra Malik had 16 points and six steals, and the Beavers won a battle of Trico League unbeatens.

Woodland (6-0, 5-0 Trico) broke away from a close game with a 13-6 advantage in the fourth quarter.

Woodland coach Glen Flanagan credited better defense and reducing turnovers for his team's surge over the final eight minutes.

Malik was 8 of 10 at the free throw line for the Beavers. Madison Sorensen had seven rebounds, six points and three steals.

Samantha Wise had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Wildcats (6-1, 5-1), along with four steals. Katie Whitten had10 points, four steals and three assists.
