Boys basketball: Federal Way 62, Union 59

The Union Titans just missed against the team ranked second in the state by the Seattle Times.

Dez Tucker hit a jumper with 30 seconds left, breaking a tie and lifting Federal Way to the victory.

The Titans missed a tough shot to tie. The Eagles made one free throw on the other end, and Union missed a tying 3-pointer at the buzzer.

Micah Paulson and Jeff Wu led Union with 15 points apiece. Paulson had three of Union’s five 3-pointers. Tyler Copp added 12 points.

De-Lo Tucker led Federal Way with 18 points.

Union led by two at the half in a game that was close throughout the contest.
