A truck clipped a stabilizing wire on a power pole causing a 40 minute power outage in the Minnehaha area Wednesday morning.
Almost 700 people were without power in the area near St. Johns Road south of 78th Street starting at 7:10 a.m., said Clark Public Utilities spokeswoman Erica Erland. Power was restored just before 8 a.m.
The outage caused traffic signals in the area to go down, according to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian.
Utility crews responded to investigate and determined the guy wire was the problem, Erland said.
