Woodland — The Woodland Planters Days Committee made a $4,120 donation to the Woodland Rotary Club for its Scott Hill Park and Sports Complex project on Dec. 10. Miss Woodland 2012 Tanna Winters was accompanied by Planters Days President J.J. Burke and princesses Kayla Johns and Mikala Ewert while presenting the donation at a Rotary meeting. The amount represents 90 percent of the amount that the 2012 Planters Days festival brought in. Scott Hill Park and Sports Complex will be a 39-acre recreation facility; the land is already owned by the city of Woodland and Rotary is leading the way on project fundraising and development.
