Following the recent mass shootings at a Connecticut school and a Portland-area mall, Lutheran Community Services NW Crime Victim Advocacy Program will host a free talk for parents at 6:30 p.m. Friday. Topics include how to provide ongoing emotional support and ways to have positive conversations about traumatic events.

Brenda Huffstutler will lead the talk at 3600 Main St. in the basement classroom.
