State approves update to Battle Ground’s shoreline program

The Washington State Department of Ecology has approved Battle Ground’s updated shoreline master program.

The state says the program will result in improvements in the protection, use and development of 2.6 miles of shoreline along portions of Salmon and Morgan creeks.

The new program combines local plans for future shoreline development and preservation, along with new shoreline development ordinances and state-mandated permitting requirements.
