Weber State routs Eastern Washington 74-53

CHENEY, Wash. (AP) — Jordan Richardson had 15 points, Kyle Tresnak had 14 and Weber State opened Big Sky play by producing a well balanced scoring attack to rout Eastern Washington 74-53 on Thursday night.

Weber State (5-3, 1-0 Big Sky) led 37-26 at halftime but lit up the scoreboard in the second half to eventually lead by as many as 27 with just under 12 minutes to play. The Wildcats shot 57.1 percent from the field in the second half, out-rebounded Eastern Washington 41-28 overall and were 20 of 28 from the free-throw line.

The Eagles never led in the game.

As for the balanced scoring attack, Joel Bolomboy scored nine points and had 12 rebounds while Byron Fulton and Davion Berry each had nine. Scott Bamforth had eight points and four rebounds.

Venky Jois scored 21 points and grabbed five rebounds to lead Eastern Washington (2-9, 0-1).
