SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Landon Drew scored 14 of his career-high 19 points in the second half to help Cal State Northridge rally from 19 points down and stun Utah, 76-71, on Friday night.

Stephan Hicks had 19 points and nine rebounds as the Matadors (8-3) scored 19 points of Utah’s 15 turnovers and held the Utes (7-3) to 22 percent shooting in the second half.

Josh Greene added 13 points, including two technical free throws to clinch the game with 5.7 seconds remaining.

The Utes, who were led by Jordan Loveridge’s 24 points, had a chance to tie the game, but Jarred DuBois stumbled on the ground after collecting a loose ball and instinctively called a timeout. The Utes had already used their allotment.

DuBois had 17 points and seven assists for the Utes, who saw their five-game home winning streak snapped.
