Battle Ground budget cuts will reduce some city office hours

The city of Battle Ground will change its counter hours for some city departments, starting Jan. 2, as part of a budget reduction.

• Community Development and Engineering, on the first floor of City Hall at 109 S.W. First St., will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday.

• Finance, Utilities and Administration, on the second floor of City Hall, will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

• Municipal Court, on the second floor of City Hall, will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, with a closure for lunch on Thursday.

• Parks and Recreation, at the Community Center, 912 E. Main St., will be open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. The police department, 507 S.W. First St., will be open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
