KEARNS, Utah (AP) — Lana Gehring won the 1,000 meters Saturday for her third victory in two days at the U.S. short track speedskating championships.

She finished in 1 minute, 35.002 seconds at the Utah Olympic Oval, followed by Alyson Dudek (1:35.152) and Emily Scott (1:35.575).

Chris Creveling won the men’s 1,000 in 1:32.520, edging Jeff Simon (1:32.550) and Kyle Carr (1:32.914).

Gehring won the 1,500 and 500 on Friday. She credits her solid results to her renewed ties with coach Jae Su Chun. Chun was accused by skaters of abuse and was suspended. He then resigned following skate-tampering allegations.

He has denied wrongdoing but is volunteering to coach Gehring and several others.
