A 19-year-old man was hospitalized with multiple stab wounds Saturday after an incident in downtown Vancouver. A suspect is in custody.
The man, whose name was not released, suffered stab wounds to his forearm, lower abdomen and buttocks, according to Cpl. Duane Boynton of the Vancouver Police Department. He said the injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Boynton said the stabbing was reported at 4:25 p.m. near the Share House, 1115 W. 13th St. The victim was transported to a local hospital.
Witnesses provided a name and description of a suspect, who reportedly fled before police arrived, Boynton said. A search of downtown led to the arrest 30 minutes later of Johnny L. Miller, 32, no residence provided, on suspicion of assault in the first degree. He was booked into the Clark County Jail.
