Boise State beats New Orleans 67-51

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Anthony Drmic scored 20 points and Boise State hit seven 3-pointers in the first half on the way to a 67-51 win over New Orleans on Sunday.

Jeff Elorriaga had 14 points, including three 3-pointers in a row in the early going as the Broncos built an 18-6 lead. Boise State never trailed and led by as many as 24 points in the first half.

Drmic and Elorriaga had four 3-pointers apiece, with Elorriaga making four and Drmic three before the break as the Broncos built a 44-26 lead at halftime.

Derrick Marks scored 12 points and Ryan Watkins grabbed 12 rebounds for the Broncos (9-2), who have won three in a row and six of seven.

Lovell Cook led the Privateers (3-8) with 15 points. Cory Dixon scored 13 and Rarlensee Nelson added 11 points for New Orleans.

The game at the MGM Grand Garden Arena was in preparation for the facility hosting the Pac-12 tournament in March.
