Jomarri Gable, Hudson’s Bay boys basketball
Jomarri Gable of Hudson’s Bay was voted The Columbian’s high school athlete of the week for the week of Dec. 17-22 in a vote by fans on Facebook.
Gable collected 54 percent of the 87 votes cast to beat out Evergreen wrestler Anthony Thomas, who had 30 percent.
Gable scored the game-winning basket to beat Heritage then was named the MVP of the North Marion Holiday Tournament, turning in a double-double in the title game win over Skyview.
Other nominees included Fort Vancouver girls basketball player Mar’Shay Moore and Skyview boys swimmer Jack Breuer.
