The Community Foundation for Southwest Washington has received a commitment of up to $100,000 from the Wollenberg Foundation to match every dollar contributed to the Community Foundation’s Administrative Endowment Fund through the end of 2012.

The Community Foundation uses that fund to support Southwest Washington’s local nonprofits and to offer prospective donors research, program evaluations and effective charitable giving strategies.

So far, the Community Foundation has received $60,360 in donations and needs less than $40,000 in additional donations by 11:59 p.m. Dec. 31 to receive Wollenberg’s full commitment.

Contributions can be made through grants from an existing charitable fund, through direct contributions or by naming the endowment in an estate plan. Details are available at www.cfsww.org or by calling 360-694-2550.
