Glenn, SC-Upstate blow out Coastal Georgia 85-55

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) — Ricardo Glenn finished with a double-double, 15 points and 12 rebounds as South Carolina-Upstate used a big first half to beat Georgia Coastal 85-55 Sunday in nonconference play.

Torrey Craig led the Spartans with 17 points, Ty Greene added 15, and Jodd Maxey finished with 13 points and eight rebounds to help South Carolina-Upstate win its 11th consecutive victory at home dating back to last year.

South Carolina-Upstate (5-7) led wire-to-wire. Tied 4-all early, the Spartans closed out the half on a 48-18 run.

Craig and Greene scored 12 points apiece in the first half, and the Mariners shot just 25.9 percent (7 for 27) in the period. South Carolina-Upstate led at halftime 52-22.

NAIA-program Coastal Georgia (2-11), could not get the deficit under 25 points in the second half.

Kentorey Johnson finished with a double-double, leading the Mariners with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
