Students and parents interested in any college are invited to a free public presentation on the financial aid process at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 2.
Washington State University Vancouver’s “Scholarships 101” will be held in the Dengerink Administration building, room 110. WSU Vancouver is at 14204 N.E. Salmon Creek Ave.
Free parking is available in Orange 1 lot.
The Scholarships 101 workshop is for all college-bound students. The workshop will cover where to find the best scholarships, how to write award-winning essays and deadlines for various scholarships.
Seventy-five percent of WSU Vancouver students receive some form of financial aid, grant or scholarship. Last year, the WSU Vancouver campus awarded more than $1 million in scholarship and tuition waiver awards to nearly 300 students.
