PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Oregon Attorney General John Kroger says he’ll sign a multistate settlement with five banks to resolve charges they wrongfully foreclosed on homeowners.
The Oregonian reports (http://is.gd/rcfYig ) the settlement will provide about $30 million to help an estimated 8,000 troubled homeowners in the state avoid foreclosure.
