OR deputies find missing mushroom pickers' SUV

GOLD BEACH, Ore. (AP) -- Sheriff's deputies in southern Oregon say they've found an SUV and some clothes belonging to three missing mushroom pickers but the adult couple and their son are still missing.

Curry County Sheriff John Bishop says Belinda and Daniel Conne, both 47, and their 25-year-old son, Michael, were last seen Sunday at their campsite on the Rogue River.

They did not return and left their two dogs in a camping trailer.

Deputies found their unattended Jeep Cherokee off a Forest Service road on Wednesday. Clothing and mushroom picking gear were found "some distance" away.

Bishop says he's asked for help from seven nearby counties in Oregon and California.

The Oregonian reports (http://is.gd/TgCBxB) that attempts to track the trio's cell phones have been unsuccessful.
