Lucas helps No. 19 Penn State women beat Indiana

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) — Maggie Lucas scored 24 points and No. 19 Penn State won for the sixth time in seven games, beating Indiana 76-44 on Thursday night.

Nikki Greene scored 17 points and added six rebounds for the Lady Lions (17-5, 7-3 Big Ten), while Gizelle Studevent scored 10 points. Milika Tuafa led the Hoosiers (5-18, 0-10) with nine points and Sasha Chaplin and Aulani Sinclair each chipped in eight points. Chaplin also had 16 rebounds.

The loss was the 10th consecutive for Indiana (5-18, 0-10), which turned the ball over 24 times.

Penn State shot 43 percent from the field while Indiana made just 28 percent of its field goals.

The Lady Lions used a 13-0 run early in the game to get a 17-5 edge and increased their lead to 19 at halftime. They continued to build on that margin in the second half and lead by as many as 38 late in the game.
