TULSA, Okla. (AP) — New Tulsa Shock coach Gary Kloppenburg is retaining Kathy McConnell-Miller as one of the assistants on his coaching staff.
The Shock announced Friday that McConnell-Miller will remain with the team after serving as an assistant for the final 19 games of last season. She was brought in after Nolan Richardson was fired and assistant Teresa Edwards was promoted to interim coach.
McConnell-Miller previously had been a head coach at the University of Tulsa for six seasons and the University of Colorado for five seasons.
