Buffalo overcomes deficit to beat Toledo 72-65

TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) — Titus Robinson scored 14 points and Buffalo overcame a double-digit deficit with a strong finish to beat Toledo 72-65 on Saturday night.

Mitchell Wyatt almost had a double-double with nine points and 13 rebounds for the Bulls (14-6, 7-2 Mid-American Conference), who extended their winning streak to six games and won their third straight conference game on the road. Javon McCrea had 12 points.

Buffalo trailed the Rockets 46-33 with 17:06 left in the game when Rian Pearson knocked down a jumper. But the Bulls outscored Toledo 22-9 over a span of 10 minutes, tying the game at 55-55 on Robinson’s layup.

The Rockets regained the lead at 65-62 on Curtis Dennis’ jumper with 2:44 left. But Buffalo closed the game on a 10-0 run, keyed by Dave Barnett’s 3-pointer and clutch free throw shooting down the stretch.

Pearson finished with 26 points and eight rebounds for Toledo (10-13, 2-7).
