LSU gets past Arkansas 71-65

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Ralston Turner had 16 points to pace four scorers in double figures for LSU in a 71-65 victory against Arkansas on Saturday.

Justin Hamilton registered a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds for LSU (13-9, 3-5 Southeastern Conference). Anthony Hickey contributed 12 points and Eddie Ludwig came off the bench to match his career high with 12 points.

Arkansas got field goals from Julysses Nobles and Michael Sanchez to pull within 61-58 with 2:31 remaining in the game. But Hamilton answered with two free throws to put the Tigers ahead by five points.

Mardracus Wade had 15 points as the leading scorer for Arkansas (16-7, 4-4), which has yet to win a game away from home. Nobles had 14 points, while reserve Rashad Madden had 10. B.J. Young, the Razorbacks’ leading scorer coming in, was held to three points — 11 below his per-game average.
