Thomas helps Hawaii rally for 83-81 win in OT

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — Joston Thomas had a career-high 29 points and 12 rebounds as Hawaii erased a 14-point second-half deficit to beat San Jose State 83-81 in overtime on Saturday night.

Zane Johnson added 19 points and Vander Joaquim had 17 points and 10 rebounds for the Warriors (13-9, 5-3 Western Athletic Conference), who trailed 54-40 with 13:14 remaining in regulation.

Wil Carter had a career-high 22 points and 12 rebounds for the Spartans (7-16, 0-8), who appeared to be on their way to their first conference win of the season before going cold offensively in the second half. James Kinney added 21 for San Jose State.
