BANDON, Ore. (AP) — A bus carrying about 20 students was struck by a van on Friday night, leaving two children injured.

Oregon State Police say the crash at about 8:45 p.m. took place when the van, driven by 73-year-old Donna Perdue, pulled onto State Route 20 and struck the left side of the Bandon School District bus.

Fire personnel from the Albany Fire Department extricated Perdue and her 86-year-old husband. They suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The state police say no information is yet available on the childrens’ school or scheduled activity.
