DOVER, Del. (AP) — Tahj Tate and Casey Walker scored 16 points apiece to pace five in double figures for Delaware State in a 77-69 win over Hampton on Monday night.

Marques Oliver added 15 points while both Tyshawn Bell and Jay Threatt chipped in 12 apiece for the Hornets (9-11, 6-3 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference), who extended their season best winning streak to five games. The victorious stretch has come on the heels of a season worst eight-game slide.

The Hornets led 39-31 at halftime and both teams scored 38 points in the second half, sealing the win for Delaware State.

Delaware State scored 13 points off as many Pirates turnovers, and the Hornets bench outscored Hampton’s 30-7.

Mike Tuitt finished with a double-double to pace the Pirates (8-15, 4-6), scoring 16 points and dishing out 10 assists.
