Letter: Obama’s kept plenty of his promises

Many Republicans and even some Democrats frequently comment about President Obama’s “failed” administration. It would be worthwhile to check out the president’s record at http://www.politifact.com, a Pulitzer Prize-winning, nonpartisan website that checks out political statements and accusations. You’ll see that he’s kept 164 promises, compromised on 51 and has 170 promises “in the works.” Fifty-six promises were broken and 65 are stalled. Two others aren’t rated. (Statistics are as of Feb. 2.)

Seems like a pretty decent record considering the political discord today.

Additionally, I suggest a look at PolitiFact’s evaluation of statements by President Obama and the various candidates for the Republican presidential nomination to see how accurate their claims are. An informed electorate is the best electorate.
