Letter: Herrera Beutler’s ideas are flawed

The Columbian
Published: February 6, 2012, 4:00pm

From sublime to ridiculous. U.S. Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler’s Columbia River Crossing position is reported in the Feb. 3 Columbian story, “Herrera Beutler’s attempt to force CRC vote blocked.”

Following her logic to the evident conclusion, this must mean that because it is not just local taxpayers, but all taxpayers in the nation paying for the bridge, that she will require that all infrastructure projects throughout the nation be settled via national referendum.

If this position is her criteria, do the voters of her district find this idiocy acceptable?
