Boston University tops Maine 67-54 in America East

BOSTON (AP) — Daryl Partin came off the bench to score 14 points and Dom Morris came on for 13 to propel Boston University to a 67-54 victory over Maine Thursday night in America East action.

It was the third straight win for the Terriers (14-13, 10-3) and 10th in their last 12 games.

BU led 17-4 midway through the first half on D.J. Irving’s layup. The Terriers led 30-21 at the break, with Partin and Morris scoring seven points apiece. Maine shot poorly in the first half, hitting just 8 of 29 field goal attempts (27.6 percent), including 3 of 11 treys. BU, meanwhile, was 13 for 33 (39.4 percent).

Maine (11-12, 5-7) stayed close behind a 15-point, 10-rebound double-double by Mike Allison and 12 points by Jon McAlian. But the Terriers won it at the foul line, making 16 of 25 free throws to 9 of 15 for Maine.
