Girls basketball: King’s Way Christian 49, Oakville 45

Defense and rebounding in the second half powered the Knights to a playoff win over the visiting Acorns.

King’s Way (15-4) advances to a Feb. 18 game against Mary M. Knight. That elimination game is scheduled for 5 p.m. at Montesano.

Harper Christian posted her third triple-double of the season for the Knights. She had 23 points, 10 steals and 10 rebounds.

Trailing 29-21 at halftime, King’s Way picked up the defense and its rebounding effort in the second half to turn the game its way, outscoring Oakville 28-14 in the second half.

Callie Crawford had nine rebounds in the game for King’s Way.
