Letter: Smoking ban is hard to enforce

The Columbian

Talk about a stupid rule — a smoking ban in Vancouver’s parks. When can the city govern people who smoke in a park? Parks are outdoors where the wind blows and rain falls. Now we are supposed to take a police officer off the street and put him or her in a park and chase a smoker around. I thought our police officers were there to enforce laws against real crime.

Get real city council; you cannot govern a city, and now you are trying to govern smokers in a park?
