Morocco tells Coe of Africa's Olympic hopes

RABAT, Morocco (AP) -- Morocco's sports minister says it's the dream of millions of Africans to host the Olympics one day.

Minister Mohamed Ouzzine met with Sebastian Coe, the former two-time Olympic 1,500-meter champion who heads the organizing committee for the 2012 London Games.

Coe also met Thursday with Moroccan Olympic champions Nawal El Moutawakel and Hicham el Guerrouj.

Coe said during a visit to Tanzania this week that he hopes to see the Olympics come to Africa for the first time.
