Camas Police are seeking information on a man who approached an elementary student in the hallway of one of the district’s schools Tuesday during a community basketball practice.

The man exited the building upon hearing others entering the hallway, school district officials said, adding he committed no crime. School district officials did not identify the district school where the incident occurred.

The man had gray hair, a long beard and a tattoo of an eagle next to his eye and a tattoo of a flame under his eye, a school district media release said. He wore a green New York Jets hat and a green jacket with leather sleeves. Witnesses reported seeing him driving a blue Ford Explorer or Ford Bronco.

People are asked to call School Resource Officer Debrah Farland at 360-607-9229 if they see this person around area schools or have seen him before.
