Letter: It's no myth who pays more taxes

I hope — as Lee Hemen proudly reviews his Feb. 4 letter, “Democrats’ solution: more taxes,” in which he uses questionable math to denounce Democrats’ desire for more equitable taxation — that he also reads Philip B. Scott’s letter, “Lessons from Romney’s tax return,” in which Scott points out that candidate Mitt Romney contributed relatively less to the Social Security program than the vast majority. I’m betting Romney will seek to collect every benefit “due” him upon retirement (translated: when he tires of running for president). I agree with Scott.
