OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — A man who was sleeping in the back of his pickup truck when it was stolen in Olympia is worried about his cat that was also in the truck.

Lt. Jim Costa says the Shelton man was shaken by the experience Thursday and still stressed Friday about his pet, asking detectives to watch for it as much as his truck.

The man was asleep in the parking lot of the Capitol Medical Center when he was awakened by the truck moving. He called 911 and talked with dispatchers as they tried to track him through his phone’s GPS.

The driver noticed him and stopped about 15 miles away in Mason County and threatened him with a knife. The victim ran away. The robber drove off with the cat.
